PawnWeb is FINDER’s web-based application for Pawn Shops, Secondhand Dealers, and Scrap Metal Recyclers to report transactions to the law enforcement agency of jurisdiction.
PawnWeb is compatible with virtually all electronic point-of-sale systems, allowing shops to upload data files in numerous formats. Shops without a separate system can create tickets directly in PawnWeb. All tickets are exported to FINDER where they can be searched only by law enforcement personnel at participating agencies.
There is no cost for businesses to use PawnWeb if they report to an agency that participates in FINDER. During a two-year period, over 40 million transactions were reported to FINDER PawnWeb.
FINDER is a comprehensive, distributed Law Enforcement data sharing system. Through FINDER, law enforcement agencies are able to share any and all records with other member agencies. The search capabilities and analytics of FINDER make it possible for users to discover connections between persons, property, vehicles, and events across many jurisdictions.
This includes arrest reports, incident reports, traffic citations, pawn tickets, second hand tickets, scrap metal transactions, and much more. All shared data remains under the control of the agency of record at all times and is never warehoused or stored elsewhere.
FINDER was founded by law enforcement officers, and we work exclusively for the public safety sector. We understand the budget constraints of law enforcement agencies and the need to be frugal with public funds.
Our team listens to our users and responds to their requests to continually improve the features and capabilities of our systems.
